Shutters

Shutters is a standalone installation application packaged from a TouchDesigner network. A grid of translucent wireframe volumes responds to ambient sound levels in the room, expanding and contracting like aperture blades as visitors move and speak.

The work explores the threshold between the natural and the digital — the way a space breathes when its architecture is given a responsive, light-based skin. Warm illuminated faces emerge from the dark only when the room is active, rewarding presence and attention.

Shutters runs as a self-contained beta build (2025.31760) and requires no external software to deploy, making it portable across venues.
